For the Culture: Bengal Change 🐅

(Many old drafts still exist in the blog bank. Original post below was from November 3, 2013 so the topic at the time was relevant to what the Bengals were experiencing...Updates made on January 7, 2022)

Are you familiar with the Cincinnati Bengals?

The same Bengals that produced miserable records year after year. With tainted fortune, they had athletes who turned toward violent behavior off the field. On a brighter side, they did have the Icky Woods dance named after Icky Woods, who was a running back for the team back in the 90's (check him out). Well, leading to the 00's, the Bengals were known as a trouble-maker team. A team that basically had a warped ego.

To note: the Icky Shuffle is not only an endzone dance, but it is a favorite agility drill among football players. (See: Dance 'N Spawned)

Going back to July of this year (2013), here is an article on how current head coach, Marvin Lewis, changed Bengal culture. Cultures are always changing in athletics. They need to change because some of them rotten teams. Some of them waste talent. Some of them produce negative outcomes. They say it takes a village to raise a child, right? It also takes a village to change grown men (women are not exempt from that rule either).

Are you seeing any similarities with a need for a change of culture either in your own life or in someone else's life right now?
