Winning ✌

I am pretty sure that I have written about this topic. I know I have shared this topic in tweets and in regular conversations. But...why do people still question winning?

I know...It doesn't matter if you win or lose. It's how you play the game.

That statement is not entirely true. Winning can build confidence, so you play better. The argument is on a similar level like the phrase, "There's no 'i' in team, but there's an 'm' and 'e'."

Let's talk for a brief moment. Former Jets coach, Herm Edwards, said at the end of his post-game press conference in October 2002, Hello! You play to win the game! Of course, he referenced grown men playing in the NFL. How you play the game...that should be reserved for any skill level and preserve attitude, prepation, skill, learning and development, grit - the qualities that make up winning a game.

See, m and e are qualities of team. What do you want to avoid? Dwelling on one person's ability to win, especially in team atmospheres. That is the problem with overlooking the very first statement above. Please, try to win at all costs and have a competitive and good attitude towards winning.

Other Beliefs. I'm almost done. The Washington Football Team is changing its name from "Football Team" to something as it will be revealed on February 2nd. Guess what?...I called in to voice my opinion on the name change. The bottom line: Change the nickname to the name that has been already decided, then...GO WIN!!! I heard one caller on sports talk radio, 106.7 The Fan, mention that they did not care if the team won, pretty much, make it a good name among other things.

Huh!?

Win first. Name change goes with it. But...win!

OK, that's it.
