Gym Hardships

Covid-19 hurt the fitness industry.

Or did it?

It affected how often people travel to the gym, which, in turn, affects gym membership numbers. However, the pandemic should not outright desecrate the industry because the heal & fitness world has so much versatility.

The Flavors. First of all, you have the option of virtual training or online training. Let's not get virtual reality training mixed up with virtual/online training because VR is a has been a trend. So, as they say...there's that.

Second on the agenda, you can keep coming to the gym. Maybe you had success at home or at the work gym, but you can still go to your old gym. It does make you look closer at your schedule since work-from-home options have skyrocketed since 2020. Who wants to drive extra? So, as they say...there's that.

Third up to bat, you have your internal battle that will, with spontaneity or planning, disappear as you might have dropped off pace with your health and workouts since 2020 due to the change in schedule. Did you bounce back yet? Will you bounce back? Or, how will you stay on the good performance path of consistency? It's difficult but worthy. It takes coaching, grit, and passion. So, as they say...there's that.

Fourth on the face-off, you have gyms. Some gyms have included daily Zoom sessions or temporary Zoom sessions. Some gyms have so much versatility that they do not have to rely on gym memberships to propel them. But, it does help to have a steady pre-Covid flow of individuals. So, as they say...there's that.

External. Internal. Indoors. Outdoors. At-home. Online. The industry has so many ways to keep going, and I never mentioned the athletics part, especially for venues that can hold games like The St. James in Springfield, VA; PG Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, MD; various ice rinks with gyms, and other facilities that combine sports, activities, and fitness.

If anything, the pandemic has urged outside the box thinking, patience, and action. How have you adjusted to your changes? Do we, professionals, assist in inspiring you and with guidance? You need the coaching.

So, as they say...there's that.
