This Year: Don't Be Afraid to Pray

Work on what you may not have total control and the burden is too much for you to handle. Set it off during week #1 of 2022.

January - the beginning between the past and the future.

Who has been or is currently in the position of working on the things you do not have total control over? What or how do you rely on in this case (curious question)?

See, January is a great month to build a strong base. To attack what you do not know. You can build a strong base in any month, but with the popularity of the new year, every year January molds itself as a strong foundation.

Prayer. A lot of you know prayer. A lot of you may not have a solid experience in it as well. One thing about prayer is that if you feel uncomfortable praying for a situation, then you can do two gestures: 1) You can ask someone how to pray and that person can pray with you. Or, 2) Tell someone your issue if you trust them and have pray on your behalf.

Prayer should be non-judgmental and open. 🤲🏾

I have heard short, long, quiet, loud, energetic, and moving prayers. Every week prayer is around me. I make that a habit. I will even prayer as I workout either to complete the workout or to prayer for someone else, whether the person knows that I prayed for them or not.

Prayer is powerful. 🙏

You know many of the world's greatest athletes pray. Yes. Athletes, as they are about to give it their all, potential injure themselves, and give their best as a form of entertainment and skill, pray. On Sundays, we see NFL teams play and prepare during sanctified hours. What we do not see 🙈...the effort these teams put in on Saturdays to have worship. See, a lot of these athletes come from deep family spiritual backgrounds. Why would they abandon the very thing that has worked and put them at the highest point of their career? That's one reason they have the opportunity for praise and worship outside of their sport.

Prayer leaves burdens behind. 🙏🏾

When was the last time you prayed? When was the last time you knowingly had someone pray for you and neither one of you judged the other? The year 2022 can be best accomplished with someone by your side. You have so much access just like in exercise. You have access. You have online access, in-person access, text-access, and video chat-access. You can pass along your concerns to someone else while you remain anonymous. Check this out...you can call into a Zoom session with anonymity, put your concern in the chat, and done.

Prayer is not boastful and reaches beyond our understanding.

With workouts, let your concerns go then take out your extra energy during your sweat session. The year is young. We are only on day #2 with so much action left.

Prayer is an action like getting off your butt 🍑 and doing something!

🤲🏾
