Atypical Gym Exercises 1

This post serves as a prelude to my 2022 Newbies list.

Listen...you do not have to perform every machine per its directions.

Is it safer for most individuals to work the machines as indicated? You bet!

But, your muscles are worked, with proper alignment and form, in changing up the exercise. Look below:

Treadmill Hand Walk. It's not a new exercise or a new one that I have shared. It works your floor core strength, coordination, and upper body strength. You could perform this exercise with your feet on a BSOU, dyna disc, Airex Pad, or on athletic equipment balls (e.g., basketball, fรนtbol, etc.)

Should most individuals perform the exercise? Nah. But, if you a strong floor core, no fear of face planting, and space, then try it out.

Hamstring Curl Biceps Curls. Look at the position. You have to hold a firm squat, ans engaged, and use a good grip. What's wrong with that?...Nothing. If needed, you could perform this atypical exercise while you wear a weight vest or stand on an imbalanced surface. While you're at it, change your stance: split stance, wide-legged, kickstand, or 1/2-kneel.

See, these two atypicals do not cause for extreme workout danger. You are not asked to use a whole bunch of equipment. Just work typical equipment atypically without compromising, well, yourself.

They're functional. Are you?

Much success to you | Derek | @teemptraining | derekteempt@gmail.com
